Japan and NVIDIA launch Vera Rubin national AI factory for physical AI

  • NVIDIA and Noetra Corp. will build the NVIDIA Vera Rubin AI factory in Japan, equipped with 13,750 Vera CPUs and 27,500 Rubin GPUs, delivering 140MW of data center capacity on the NVIDIA DSX platform.
  • The project is supported by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and leading industrial partners as the country’s first national AI infrastructure focused on physical AI across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and telecommunications.
  • The factory will use Vera Rubin NVL72 racks, Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField DPUs to train open multimodal foundation models for AI agents, digital twins, robotics and other physical AI applications, including trillion-parameter-scale models.
