Details
- Pasqal announced in October 2026 an AI-assisted workflow on Pasqal Cloud that converts a defined scientific idea into an executable quantum-processing-unit experiment.
- The workflow is designed for researchers and integrates with agentic coding environments including Claude Code, Cursor and Codex.
- It extracts or formalizes protocols, generates hardware-ready jobs, validates them through emulation, submits them to a QPU and analyzes measurements into scientific observables.
- Researchers retain control over experiment design, validation and interpretation, while the system automates much of the engineering between a hypothesis and hardware execution.
- The workflow uses Pasqal’s software stack, including Pulser, emu-mps and the Pasqal Cloud SDK, and supports the Ruby QPU in France, FC1 in Québec and SA1 in Saudi Arabia.
Impact
By reducing the software and hardware expertise required to run experiments, Pasqal could expand participation in neutral-atom quantum research and increase the number of ideas tested on available QPUs. Over the next 12–24 months, similar automation may shift competition toward experiment-development tools, validation workflows and cloud access rather than hardware availability alone.
