Details
- Pasqal and Eleven Ventures announced a commercial joint venture, Pasqal Arabia, to deploy and scale neutral-atom quantum systems across Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region.
- The companies said the venture will operate Pasqal’s systems in the Kingdom, market them regionally, and build local quantum talent and expertise.
- HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Bin Talal, founder of Eleven Ventures, has been appointed chairman of the board of Pasqal Arabia.
- The announcement was timed with Saudi Arabia’s state visit to France, and follows Pasqal’s earlier 2025 deployment with Aramco of Saudi Arabia’s first quantum computer and the region’s first commercial quantum-computing-as-a-service platform.
- Pasqal said the deal is intended to support Vision 2030 goals in AI and advanced computing and to meet demand for sovereign high-performance computing infrastructure in the region.
Impact
The venture extends the Saudi push to localize advanced computing infrastructure rather than rely on foreign access, reinforcing a broader regional trend toward sovereign AI and quantum capabilities. If Pasqal delivers multiple in-country systems, it could accelerate developer adoption, talent formation, and enterprise experimentation across energy, industrial, and public-sector use cases over the next 12–24 months.
